From Nový Opatov, you can set off on a treasure hunt for forest elves in Milíčov Forest. The trail is approximately 10 kilometers long and suitable for strollers and older children – and if it feels too long, you can shorten part of the route by taking a bus.

You'll walk through the housing estate to the edge of Milíčov Forest, where your journey begins at the Milíčov Pond. Here you can watch ducks or swans and maybe even spot some nutrias.

Just behind the pond, there is a children’s playground tucked under the trees, and next to it an orchard where you’re free to pick some fruit.

And then your elf adventure can begin. You’ll find the first elf not far from the playground and the last one near the exit from the forest. Maybe you’ll find them all – and if not, don’t worry. You can always try again next time.
