Artworks have been an integral part of Barrandov for many years, helping shape its distinctive character. That is why we wanted to build on this tradition in the newly developed area and give it its own artistic dimension. Discover the charm of the public art created in Barrandov’s public spaces.

Rock
Natural element
The natural stone symbolizes a new beginning after a longer construction pause. Although development had already taken place in Barrandov before, it was the construction of these two new buildings that resumed the previous phase of the project after several years. The stone was therefore placed in front of these buildings in 2014 as a reminder of the continuation of the overall development and as a distinctive symbol of its new beginning.
Bell Tower
Lukáš Rais
The bell tower forms a symbolic culmination of the pedestrian axis running across Barrandov. It is a place that metaphorically calls residents together and gives the entire route a clear destination and purpose. At the end of the path, there is no fence or barrier, but an object intended for gathering and spending time together. The metal bell tower by Lukáš Rais stands in the middle of an open space that invites people to sit and relax. You can hear it chime every day at 12 noon and 6 pm.
Archimedon
Lukáš Rais
This work by Lukáš Raise can be understood as an artistic expression of infinity, continuity, and interconnectedness. Its form, with no clear beginning or end, symbolically reflects the character of the Kaskády Barrandov project, which brings together architecture, landscape, and everyday life into one naturally flowing whole.
Relief Barrandier
Lukáš Rais
Lukáš Raise’s artwork draws inspiration from Barrandov’s cinematic heritage, transforming the wall into an endless movie screen. Just like a film, this piece can be viewed again and again — from the square, the tram stop, or during an ordinary walk.
Book exchange box
Lukáš Čeliš
The little free library in Barrandov was created based on a design by Lukáš Čeliš. Its appearance, inspired by a classic vacuum-screen television, reflects Barrandov’s cinematic character. Although it is more of an urban furniture element than a traditional work of art, we see it as a beautiful, meaningful, and original feature of the public space. It speaks to the identity of the המקום and also carries a sense of generosity and the sharing of stories between people.
Sun and Moon
Kateřina Kellerová
Just as the light changes throughout the day, so too does our perception of public space. The work points to the fact that a city does not live only in the moment it is being built, but also in the moments when it is inhabited, enjoyed, and lived in.
Mrs Kellerová carried out garden landscaping for us in several locations. However, she does not create ordinary gardens — she strives to turn them into “works of art,” which is how we came to discover her artistic spirit as well. She is like a true fairy, who has left a part of herself here in Barrandov in the form of the Sun and the Moon.
Stars
Kateřina Kellerová
Kateřina Kellerová’s stars symbolically open up a space for imagination, calm, and inner pause. They remind us that even in the midst of an urban environment, a place can emerge that briefly draws a person out of the rush of everyday life and offers a different way of perceiving space. The motif of stars naturally turns our attention upward — toward lightness, dreaming, and quiet reflection.
